If you're feeling unmotivated, overwhelmed or unfocused it's time for an energy reset!

Here's the 5 steps to resetting your energy...

1. Let Go

Reaching for new energy while holding on to the old is exhausting and keeps you feeling stuck. Letting go is vital for healing and it can be really difficult if you’ve been holding on for a long time, don’t be afraid to reach out and get help with letting go.

There's so many ways to let go. To get started try breathing deeply and letting go on the out breath. Also think about meditation, prayer, journalling or writing on paper and burning the pages. You could also have a massage, take a sauna, exercise, fast, listen to binaural beats music, cleanup, take out the rubbish, get away, lie in the sun and take a break from sources of stress.

2. What are you letting go of?

Look at what you need to release and decide to let it go. You’ll know what has to go by the way it makes you feel, if it feels uncomfortable or uninteresting and you know it isn’t good for you it’s a sign to stop giving it your energy, you have a choice, basically if it isn’t flowing its going.

3. What do you want?

Once you’ve let go of what you don’t want it's time to focus on what you do want. A simple way to work out what you do want is state the exact opposite of what you’ve let go of. Let’s say you’re letting go of feeling stuck then the opposite quality may be flow, that’s what you want to be focusing on instead, flow.
Replace what you don’t want with its opposite positive quality.


4. What new habits are you developing?

So, you’ve got new qualities to focus your energy on but you’re wondering if you have what it takes to make new goals happen. Build your strength by repeating new habits until they become second nature. Write your goals down, journal or put them on your wall or fridge so you can see them every day.

5. Embrace and express transformation.

The final part of an energy reset is to embrace and express new energy without resistance or sabotage. Let yourself enjoy your new feelings and perspective, celebrate what you’ve overcome and be grateful, keep moving forward with this new energy.

When you reset your energy you’ll have more flow and ease but you’ll also be aware of what you’ve outgrown and will need to continue letting go. An energy reset isn’t something you do once in a lifetime or every now and then, it’s an ongoing process to integrate change and growth.
