An Energy Update for the Scorpio New Moon of November 2018
by Zoe Davis
Detaching From Karma
On November 7th and 8th we have a Scorpio new moon and sun. There is loads of cosmic energy pointing to karmic dealings this month! This is an opportunity to see where we are creating karma or drama in order to stay attached to something. When something is not working or flowing it’s time to detach and rise above the karma.
Relationships of all kinds benefit from absolute authenticity. Release and let go of all mind games or manipulation, if someone isn’t transparent, don’t waste your energy figuring it out, keep your intentions pure, and maintain your integrity. Also, check the facts before assuming anything and don’t take it personally if you find yourself having to defend or explain your actions, beware of blame games at this time.
CREATING OR DETACHING FROM KARMA
Resist getting swept up in any dramas, remember you always have a choice to either create karma or detach from it.
What is karma?
Karma is energy that is pushed or withheld to drive a reaction.
Even the intent of ‘good karma’ is karmic because it is expecting a certain outcome which creates pressure.
How you respond to karmic behavior will determine if there is a karmic reaction.
If you resist and fight back, that’s continuing karma.
If you submit and allow yourself to be dominated, that also continues karma.
If you detach from all drama, choose to not engage by staying in your integrity and allowing a natural outcome that serves the highest good of all involved, then you’re rising above karma.
In short, to detach from karma is to trust the Universe is always providing a win/ win outcome for all involved.
You can’t hurry karma. If someone has wronged you and you were not at fault, that is their karma and you have to simply let them play it out. How it plays out is up to them. By genuinely not getting involved, you are detaching from karma.
Co-dependency is karmic, thinking we need to control others or be controlled creates karma. Detaching from karma involves interdependence, working cooperatively, wanting the best outcome for all involved, recognising we are all one and that we must all take responsibility for ourselves and let others do the same.
If you feel or know you have created karma you can break the cycle by recognising you are a good person and deciding to sincerely change. If you are not that person anymore and you’ve made amends, then you don’t need to carry that karma.
Detaching from karma is actually quite simple, decide to live from a pure heart and let everyone figure out their own stuff.
BE OPEN TO LOVE AND HARMONY
This month can herald harmonious connections where you least expect it. Lightness and respect will be experienced if you allow it and offer it freely.
Be open to the love and light that is always coming to you, you deserve it, it’s good for you and it’s time to let it in! Let people love you and help you.
At first it may feel uncomfortable to receive the love offered because of hurtful experiences from the past, but remind yourself that by allowing hurt to be your guide you will stay stuck in old karma!
Let yourself be loved and drop any fears of thinking that you have to earn love with habits like overworking, worrying about others, being overly generous or too available. Focus on listening to yourself and meeting your own needs, stop waiting for others to change or approve of you so you can concentrate on being happy within yourself. Attract and enjoy genuine connections that go both ways and let the beauty of life in so you can enjoy living!
