Tap In To Who You Are

You spend every moment of your life with yourself, so why be confused and mystified when it comes to knowing who you are and what you want?

Getting to know yourself starts with being able to focus on what is  really going on for you. Often we listen to others much more intently than we ever listen to ourselves. Set an intention to listen to yourself, get to know yourself and own who you are and make no apologies for it, the more you understand yourself, the easier others will understand you, and the easier and more rewarding your life will be.

1. Take the time to understand your experiences.

The good and the not so good, they all have equal importance, every experience makes you who you are today! The good definitely feels better and that's what makes them good. Bless and accept the not so good experiences. Stop and face your discomfort, own it, understand it and then you can then release it and set it free. 

 2. Willingly embrace everything about you.

Pushing away anything that you don’t like about yourself doesn't make it go away; it just means you have to deal with it some other time. It’s like sleeping in an uncomfortable bed, admit it’s uncomfortable and fix it it so you can get some rest and peace. Or, you can reluctantly accept it’s uncomfortable, never have quality rest and spend your time and money fixing your body for spending all your time sleeping in a bad bed! Choose the bed you lie in. 
 
3. Be patient and forgiving, listen to yourself. 

When it comes to you connecting with yourself, give yourself permission to give up having to be right and wrong. Use the voice memo feature in your phone and regularly record your thoughts and feelings and listen back to it straight away. You'll be amazed at the little gems you say that get overlooked and you'll also be able to hear where you are worrying about nothing. Try it, it really works!
 
4. Enjoy yourself!

Make an effort to do what feels right, and enjoy whatever it is you are doing. If you aren’t enjoying it, stop doing it or do it differently. Commit to being loyal to yourself, commit to being happy, commit to your job, commit to healthy relationships, commit to your chores and commit to your body with regular exercise, rest and a healthy diet. Commit to your life by following your heart’s desire. Commit to having passion for everything you do, and everything you have to do. 

5. Manifest regularly.

To know who you are and where you are heading regularly check in with what you want to manifest in your life. Be aware of what you don’t want to continue in your life and focus your attention on attracting only what you do want.

At least once a month, get clear with what you desire and write it down. List five to ten positive things, aspects and emotions you want to attract, make the list your guiding star. 

Clear manifesting takes practice and dedication, the more you do it the better you will get, and the more you and your ideal life will be in alignment. 
 
Of course there are many ways you get to know yourself, these intentions are but a  few. Enjoy getting to know yourself!

Excellent blog post and beaautifully written. I love the idea of reflecying on wants vs what has manifested on a monthly basis!
